Our facilities consist of an Incineration Plant, Solidification Plant, Physical & Chemical Treatment Plant, Secured Landfill and Clinical Waste Treatment Centre. These facilities, which are designed and maintained under stringent international standards, have the capacity to store, treat and dispose of more than 100,000 tonnes of all classes of hazardous wastes per annum.

All our trucks are designed to be compliant to legal requirements and are licensed by DOE, Malaysia. Our truck drivers are fully licensed and trained on packaging and labelling, and emergency response plan. We operate more than 50 trucks from 1 to 20 tonne curtain-sider trucks, tipper trucks, skip bins and IMO tanks.

 

Proper packaging is vital for the safe transportation and handling of scheduled waste. The Waste Generator shall be responsible for the right packaging, labelling, transportation and specification of the waste as stated in the Environment Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005.

Labelling
For identification and warning purposes, the packaging of scheduled wastes shall be clearly labelled in accordance with Regulation 10 of the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005. The label may be of the following types:
• Stick-on
• Metal plate
• Stencilled or printed on the container or package

Competency Training Programme
Kualiti Alam has been providing training and consultation services in various fields including Scheduled Wastes Management for over a decade. Our flagship programme is the Scheduled Wastes Management Training for Waste Handlers, which is designed specifically for waste generators and waste handlers involved in the identification, handling, labelling, transportation, storage and spillage or discharge response of scheduled wastes towards compliance to the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005 – Regulation 15: Conduct of Training.

Course Module
We conduct the flagship Competency Training Programme over a compact 2-day (in-house or public programme) or a comprehensive 3-day programme which includes a visit to Kualiti Alam Waste Management Centre in Bukit Pelandok, Negeri Sembilan to self-witness the technology behind scheduled wastes management.

All courses include interactive video presentations, case studies, classroom exercises as well as a fact-filled presentations. All courses include a competency test. Participants that successfully complete the programme are issued with a Certificate of Competency.
