Earlier in 2016, Cenviro Johor signed a long-term lease agreement with a state owned entity, Perbadanan Islam Johor or PIJ. This land is located within 14 km from the PIC. Cenviro Johor will house the new state of the art facilities that will provide Scheduled Waste management services to the PIC as well as to other parts of Johor. Its close proximity to the waste generators will enable services to be undertaken not only in a more efficient and effective manner, but also at significantly lower risk.
Cenviro Johor has started its initial investment on the lease land and has already designed an incinerator facility that will meet the technical requirements of our waste generators, and is targeted to be commissioned by January 2019. The land, which is about 40 acres in size, will enable Cenviro Johor to provide other facilities, such as recycling and recovery services related to waste from the various downstream activities of the oil and gas industry.
